Echo 25

Echo 25In an effort to create new and meaningful ways to engage with a diverse and ever-growing Bulldog family, Truman has established a new young alumni recognition program – The Echo 25.

The familiar name of the signature program originated with Truman’s former yearbook, The Echo. The 1960 edition of Truman’s yearbook details the symbolism of echoes in the Truman Tradition: “Echoes repeat the notes of a student’s life. They resound the new progress, the new ideal, and the new decade of the Teachers College.” Similarly, the success of Truman’s young alumni echoes a tradition of excellence across the University’s long history.

The Echo 25 will feature 25 exceptional alumni under the age of 40 who will be recognized at a ceremony in fall 2024. Candidates for the award must have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from Truman State University and be under the age of 40 on September 27, 2024. Previous recipients are not eligible to receive the award again.

Recipients of The Echo 25 will be selected based on the ways they live out Truman’s characteristics of graduates. Truman graduates are creative, socially responsible leaders and engaged world citizens. They are responsible, informed and compassionate. They have the characteristics that enable them to be active, successful participants in their worlds.
